Chatara Hydropower Station
Chatara Hydropower Station is a canal drop type with an installed capacity of 3.2 MW. The powerhouse was commissioned in the year1996. The average (designed) annual generation of this powerhouse is 6 GWh. Chatara Hydropower station generated 4.011 GWh of energy in this fiscal year, a decrease of 7.52% compared to the last years generation. The generation from this power station has contributed 0.17% of the total energy in the INPS.

This powerhouse was handed over to NEA Sunsari-Morang Irrigation Project in 15-12-2055
