e-RG CSR Policy - Adoption of a Primary School
As per its CSR Policy, e-RG Nepal has adopted a primary school established at Andhimuhan Bote Village in Shree Krishna Gandaki VDC of Syangja district of Nepal for the vulnerable and marginalized Bote (Fisherman) family. This Bote families has faced serious impact during the construction of the Kali Gandaki "A" Hydroelectric Project.

A contract agreement is signed between the school management committee and the e-RG Nepal on 2006/08/08. As per the agreement, the e-RG Nepal has adopted the school, Kali Gandaki Primary School, for two years starting from the date of contract agreement.

Main activities of e-RG Nepal under the contract agreement are to;
  • provide required educational materials, stationery, sports items to the school.
  • make contact and coordinate with institutions, INGOs who are interested to provide support to the school.
  • undertake necessary activities to improve the educational quality of the school.
  • arrange for participation of school teachers and guardian in skill development training, study tour and awareness programs.
  • carry out primary health examination and basic health care activities as required for the student of the school.
  • The School will make available Four Monthly Educational Report to the e-RG Nepal.
e-RG Nepal has distributed, as first step to implement the agreement, required educational materials, stationeries and sports items to the school amidst a function organized by the school management committee. The program was attended by the Chairman, member of School Management Committee, Head master and teachers of the school, guardian, student, KGA staff and e-RG members. Chief of Kali Gandaki "A" Hydroelectric Department Mr. Dev Sharma Poudel was the chief guest of the program. Mr. Pranav Achayra, Director of e-RG Nepal, briefed about the e-RG Nepal and its CSR Policy.
